Business - Getting Started

Setup Instructions

Step 1

Download the Cugo app from the apple/google play store.

Step 2

Login to App with business credentials created upon sign up.

Step 3

Click the business tab on the right to view active devices (these are configurable from the business portal via the website).

Step 4

Make sure you accept notifications from Cugo when asked at any stage as this allows Cugo to run in the background while using any other POS software on the same device.

Click on the desired device (note: this will lock the screen on the current device and the only way to unlock/switch device is to open the menu in the upper right corner and select a new device or exit. This will prompt for the business pin configured via the Cugo business portal accessible from the website).

Step 5

There are two ways to “stamp” a customers loyalty card.
  1. First way is to stay on the device screen and when a customer scans the device card the transaction comes in you can click the transaction and it prompts actions you can perform on the transaction.
  2. Option 2 (preferred) is when on the device screen simply exit the app (don’t force close it you must have it running in the background) When the customer scans their device a notification will come through (similar to how you receive a text message) and you can pull down to view actionable items for the transaction without having to open the app! (Never have to leave POS software).

Step 6

Repeat step 5 to redeem a transaction and you can edit any transactions from the device screen via the app.

Step 7

If for any reason you accidentally interact with the notification incorrectly simply open the app and repeat step 5 or have the customer tap again it is no biggie.

Helpful Tips

How do I amend a transaction?

Amend a transaction by opening the app and clicking the desired transaction with more options.

What if the customer cannot scan?

If the customer can’t scan for any reason provide them the device key on the back of the card so they may enter it manually to trigger the transaction.
